Josh Thomas is a safety for the Arizona Cardinals. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2020 following his college football career at Appalachian State University.
Josh was a two-year captain at App State, appearing in 56 career games with 30 starts. App State went 54-12 in his five seasons, as he was a part of just the fifth class in college football history to win five bowl games and four conference championships. He was the only member of this five-man group to use a season of eligibility as a true freshman in 2015, as he officially redshirted the 2017 season due to injury. According to PFF College, Josh made 2019 First-team All-Sun Belt as a Senior and 2018 Second-team All-Sun Belt as a Junior.
Josh finished his college football career with 163 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 7 interceptions (3 in postseason wins), and his first career touchdown in his final home game as a mountaineer, returning an interception 16 yards for a score in the Sun Belt Championship Game that helped App State go 27-4 at home during his five seasons.
